Santos is well advanced on its $3.6 billion Pilliga coal seam gas project. It can supply 50% of NSW’s needs (220TJ/day). After 3 years getting approval from the NSW Department of Planning it faces a further 3 months of discussion and review, and no doubt a legal case will follow.
